Meet Dr. Ferne Pinard
I am Dr. Ferne Pinard, owner and founder of Thrive Integrated Neuropsychological Services in Pooler, GA. As a pediatric neuropsychologist, I have extensive experience assessing children, adolescents and young adults with complex developmental, medical and neurological histories as well as those with learning differences/disabilities, ADHD, executive functioning difficulties, anxiety, mood and behavioral concerns.
My approach is whole-child and developmentally informed. Rather than focusing only on test scores, I integrate standardized testing with clinical interviews, behavioral observations, and educational and medical history to clarify why difficulties are occurring and how to best support growth over time. Evaluations are practical, strengths-based, and designed to guide real-world supports. I aim to provide a clear understanding how cognitive, learning, emotional, behavioral, developmental, and medical factors interact to affect an individual’s functioning at home, school and other settings.
I offer comprehensive and focused evaluations, including virtual neuropsychological and psychoeducational assessments when clinically appropriate, as well as school-focused evaluations to inform IEPs, 504 plans, and accommodations.
I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology (Child Clinical emphasis) from The University of Southern Mississippi, and completed advanced training at University of Minnesota Medical School, followed by specialized fellowship training in pediatric neuropsychology at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. I went on to serve as faculty at Boston Children’s Hospital and as an Instructor at Harvard Medical School, where I worked within the Learning Disabilities and Pediatric Neuroimmunology Programs across the Departments of Neurology and Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. These experiences, along with my work in private practice and community health care settings, have shaped my comprehensive and thoughtful approach to care.
In addition to clinical work, I am committed to improving access to care for underserved and culturally diverse populations and have participated in international service-learning initiatives providing psychoeducational evaluations to school-aged children in Trinidad and Tobago.
If you are seeking a thoughtful, comprehensive evaluation that looks beyond test scores to understand the whole child, I would be glad to work with you.
